Dear Alan, There are some people who enter our lives without ever knowing they have changed them, and you were one of those people for me. I don't know if words could ever truly explain what you have meant to me, but I want to try anyway, because even after all these years, there are still days when I miss you as though you had only just left. I miss your voice, your presence, your way of looking at the world, the quiet strength you carried, and the incredible depth you brought to every character you played. You became so much more than an actor I admired; you became one of my greatest sources of inspiration. There were moments in my life when things felt heavy, when I felt lost, tired, or simply unable to find the right words for what I was feeling, and somehow, your work was always there. Your voice was there. Your characters were there. Something about you always seemed to reach a part of me that needed to be reached. You helped me through things you could never have known I was going through, and perhaps that is one of the most extraordinary things about art: sometimes, someone you have never met can hold your hand through the darkest moments of your life without ever knowing they are doing it. You did that for me. I have loved you for so many years, and that love never disappeared when you did. If anything, it became quieter, deeper, and more precious. I still think of you, I still watch your films, I still hear your voice in my head sometimes, and I still find myself smiling at little things that remind me of you. There are days when I wish, just for a moment, that I could tell you all of this myself. I would tell you that you mattered, that you still matter, and that somewhere in the world, there is a person who continues to carry a little piece of your work in their heart every single day. I would thank you for every performance, every word, every character, every little expression that stayed with me. I would thank you for giving people something beautiful to hold onto, and for inspiring me to appreciate subtlety, intelligence, kindness, wit, and the beauty of things that don't need to be loud to be powerful. Most of all, I would thank you for helping me when you didn't even know I needed help. I know I never had the chance to meet you, and I know you could never have known my name, my story, or the place you would eventually hold in my heart, but you became part of my story anyway, and I think that is a beautiful kind of immortality. People sometimes say that we should let go of those who are gone, but I don't believe love works that way. I don't want to let go of you, and I don't need to. I can simply carry you with me — through the memories, through your films, through your voice, through everything you left behind. You are still one of my greatest inspirations, you are still someone I look up to, and I still love you with all my heart. Not because I refuse to accept that you are gone, but because your absence cannot erase everything you gave to the world, or everything you gave to me. I hope, wherever you are, that you somehow know how deeply you were loved. I hope you know that your work reached places you could never have imagined, and I hope you know that, even today, there are people who still speak your name with tenderness. I am one of them. Thank you, Alan, for your art, for your voice, for your brilliance, for the comfort you unknowingly gave me, for being a light during moments when I needed one, and for leaving something behind that time can never take away. You may no longer be here for me to admire from afar, but you will always have a place in my heart. I will keep loving you, I will keep remembering you, and I will keep carrying a little piece of you with me, wherever life takes me. Forever grateful. Forever inspired. Forever missing you. With all my heart, someone who will never forget you.
