It’s been 10 years since you’ve passed, and you’re terribly missed. Even though I never had the opportunity to meet you and never will you’ve been a constant source of strength and inspiration in my life for the past few years. I don’t know how you came to be such an important presence in my life but thank you for giving me strength and providing me with distractions when I needed them most. I’ll be forever grateful to you even though you’ll never meet me or know who I am… Most people won’t understand, but that’s okay… I just love you even though I can’t explain how it came to be. My thoughts will always be with your wife and your loved ones and I pray that wherever you are, you’re free of pain and worries, doing what you loved the most: acting, eating, directing and laughing ❤️ It’s weird I decided to write something today for someone I never met but it just felt right. I’m coping with a lot of stuff right now and you’re what’s keeping me going, so it just seemed right. I spent a great part of the day reading stories from your friends about you and they all proved what I’ve always suspected: you were an awesome human being, who supported so many people and encouraged them to do what they loved, giving advice when you could and giving them the most important thing: time. I wish God could’ve granted you more time… Maybe someday I’ll stop mourning you, but that day is not today. I miss you and I wish we could still enjoy your acting, your personality and your passion. But for now I’ll just keep rewatching your works and daydream about you being alive and well. They say people only die when they’re forgotten and I can certainly say that you’ll live forever if that’s the case. I love you, Alan. And I always will. Sincerely, A weird and lonely person who misses you a lot ❤️🩹
