Dear Alan, I want to thank you for everything. You’ve inspired me like no other person has. I will never forget my first exposure to you at 16 years old and my life has changed so much because of your impact. You’ve encourage to keep moving forward and opened a different path for me. Before learning about you, I had no direction in what I wanted to do with my life. But you lead me to get into music. I play cello and I love it so much. To be honest I only picked cello because of Truly, Madly, Deeply and I wanted to be a little bit like you. From there on I realize that I love music and I’m going to college for music education. I now have certainty about where my life is going and it’s because of you. You truly are my idol. I look up to you so much. If I’m ever in peril I always wonder,”what would Alan do?”. And I’ve kept pushing because of you. Thank you Alan for your acting, characters, impact, and your existence. I’m forever indebted to you.
