Dear Alan23 September 2026

Dear Alan, the first time I saw you on TV was when I was 6, I had been a little excited girl, and when I saw this man, I immediately thought, I want to meet him! At that time it was only 2003. Years later, I still had a sort of little crush on you, I was only a little girl but the sort of thing children feel when they see a person that brings comfort. I especially liked you in Sense and Sensibility and Robin Hoods, you just were the comfort person of a little girl, and you brought joy to my childhood. I even had a silly little plushie of you. But just three years later, at nine years old, guess who I met on the streets? You. I was nine at that time. It was in London and I just got so excited. My mum and I walked towards him and asked for a photo and a photograph... You were truly the kindest person I've ever met. This silly little crush wasn't just a dream, it came true, I truly saw how much of a kind person you really were. You took a photo with me and then I hung it in my bedroom, even did a custom pillow of it. I was so proud and so happy. And this little silly crush never left. Even after 23 years. I still have the plushie and the pillow. I hope you are alright wherever you are now. I miss you, truly.
